PROJECT MANAGEMENT CASE STUDIES
I’ve managed projects that range from large-scale digital transformations to mission-driven initiatives with lasting community impact. The three case studies below highlight how I bring structure, adaptability, and creative problem-solving to complex challenges—whether it’s migrating enterprise systems, redesigning a regional bank’s digital presence, or building a trauma-informed training platform.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS TRAINING PLATFORM
SITUATION
This client required a secure, professional online training platform to equip counselors and social workers with the skills to identify and respond to human trafficking cases. The platform needed to:
-
deliver sensitive content in a trauma-informed manner to protect user well-being

integrate with an LMS for tracking participation and completion
-
be promoted statewide
Key challenges included:

-
ensuring content accuracy without triggering survivors
-
selecting and integrating the optimal e-learning technology
-
managing multiple vendors and content creators
-
navigating state agency documentation protocol
The project budget was $250K, with a planned duration of 18 months.

ACTION
As Senior Project Manager, I led the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the platform.

Conducted early planning and stakeholder alignment with four state agency representatives, three designers, one website development team, one tech vendor, and two content creators.

Performed stakeholder analysis, defined key deliverables, documented high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints, and developed the project charter to secure approval and alignment.

Directed technology strategy by evaluating e-learning platforms, obtaining client approval, and overseeing secure LMS integration.

Maintained project discipline through weekly team and stakeholder meetings, quality checks, and structured communications, even when documentation delays threatened timelines.

Guided content and design decisions to balance accuracy, regulatory compliance, and trauma-informed considerations to protect the target audience.

Resolved vendor and content challenges by replacing an underperforming content creator within two weeks and collaborating closely with the new partner to ensure accuracy, relevance, and sensitivity.

Managed end-to-end execution, conducted live walkthroughs of training modules, and transferred the completed platform to client ownership for ongoing use.

RESULT
Delivered a secure, password-protected website with three interactive training modules for 50+ counselors and social workers.
Integrated LMS successfully for tracking participation and completion.
Ensured trauma-informed, accurate, and compliant content, maintaining audience safety and educational effectiveness.
Promoted the platform statewide via Google Ads and social media.

JIRA TO SALESFORCE MIGRATION
SITUATION
The organization needed to consolidate its Jira and Salesforce platforms to enhance operational efficiency, foster cross-team collaboration, and ensure reporting consistency. The objective was a one-time migration of over 300 Jira users from multiple departments and locations across the United States to Salesforce, including current tickets and active users. This migration was part of a larger digital transformation initiative that integrated multiple systems, such as order entry and finance.
Key challenges included:

-
potential data loss
-
user adoption resistance
-
the need to operate Jira and Salesforce in parallel during the transition

ACTION
As Project Manager, I led the end-to-end project planning and execution for the Jira component of the migration for my department.

Directed ongoing project work by holding weekly team and stakeholder meetings to improve cross-team collaboration and operational efficiency during this migration.

Mitigated data loss risk by leading phased migration testing and validating records through reconciliation reports so that full-system backups could be implemented, ensuring 100% data integrity during the Jira–Salesforce cutover.

Drove user adoption through tailored training and role-specific documentation and participated in train-the-trainer workshops, reducing resistance and accelerating team readiness for the new platform.

Minimized operational disruption by defining dual-system protocols and monitoring parallel Jira–Salesforce workflows, enabling a smooth transition without loss of productivity.

RESULT
Successfully migrated all Jira users (>300) across multiple departments and locations to Salesforce.
Standardized the platform company-wide, eliminating siloed workflows and improving cross-team collaboration, ticket resolution times, and reporting consistency.
Ensured stakeholder awareness and engagement throughout the project lifecycle via structured communications and regular status updates.
Enabled consistent workflows, reducing redundancy and enhancing business process standardization.
KEY PM SKILLS HIGHLIGHTED
Risk management and mitigation
Stakeholder alignment and communication
Change management and user adoption
Systems integration and process coordination
REGIONAL BANK WEBSITE REDESIGN
SITUATION
A large local bank needed a full website redesign to modernize its digital presence, improve user experience, and ensure compliance with accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG). The existing site had an outdated design, lacked mobile responsiveness, and offered a suboptimal user experience. The project budget exceeded $500K and spanned 15 months. It served more than 14 business units, with over 500 pages and content assets, requiring coordination across multiple teams and departments.
Key challenges included:
-
managing complex dependencies across content, design, and web development teams
-
ensuring stakeholder alignment
-
mitigating scope creep
-
meeting accessibility and regulatory requirements

ACTION
As Senior Project Manager, I steered a complex regional bank website redesign, aligning 10+ stakeholders, navigating compliance and marketing demands, and launching a site that elevated both user experience and brand trust.

Directed end-to-end website redesign by defining scope, deliverables, and risks, securing stakeholder alignment across technical, compliance, marketing, and executive teams.

Developed project charter, Statement of Work, and hybrid project plan to coordinate content, design, and development streams, ensuring milestones and responsibilities were clear.

Oversaw execution of project deliverables, managing resources, schedules, and quality while directly contributing through WordPress page builds and QA testing.

Maintained transparency and alignment through weekly updates and proactive risk management, successfully mitigating scope creep and competing priorities.

RESULT
Delivered a fully redesigned, mobile-responsive, and ADA-compliant website that elevated user experience and brand trust.
Drove measurable performance gains, faster load times, higher engagement, reduced bounce rates, and increased conversions to priority pages.
Introduced dynamic, personalized content functionality that tailored experiences based on user behavior and return visits.
Coordinated 500+ pages and assets across cross-functional teams, navigating client delays and shifting priorities by driving a modified scope agreement, and delivering a scalable platform for future marketing, product, and compliance needs.
